What is dry sift hash?
Dry sift hash is a concentrate made by sieving the resin from dried hemp flower and then pressing it together. The loose powder collected during sieving is called kief, or pollen, and when pressed it becomes hash. Because it uses no water and no solvents, dry sift is considered one of the cleanest, most traditional methods there is.
How is dry sift hash made?
- Drying: hemp flower is properly dried and cured first.
- Sieving: the flower is gently agitated over fine mesh screens, so the resin glands (trichomes) fall through as a fine powder.
- Grading: using screens of different sizes separates the resin into grades of purity.
- Pressing: the collected kief is pressed into hash, or left loose as pollen.

Dry sift vs bubble hash vs charas

Why do people value dry sift?
Dry sift is prized because it is simple, solventless, and, done carefully, produces a clean concentrate that keeps the natural aroma of the flower. Higher grades, made by finer sifting, can be exceptionally pure.
How strong is dry sift hash?
